![]() Under tvOS 10, the streams would only occasionally freeze - maybe after 45-60 minutes. The high-rate stream will freeze after 30 seconds, while the low-rate stream freezes after 2 minutes - this is consistent under tvOS 11 even after doing a reset to the Apple TV. Non-functioning Receiver: Apple TV 4th Generation running VLC 1.0.7 under tvOS 11 will freeze both video and audio streams and will not restart on their own. Video portions occasionally freeze but restart up on their own. Working Receivers: A number of MacOS devices (iMac, MacBook Pro, Mac mini) all running VLC 2.2.6 work fine on either stream. You must test it with VLC because the way the software pulls the stream in is through RTSP on. Navigating to the cameras web interface does not mean that the camera will work. If a camera cannot connect using VLC it will give us a better idea of what is going on with the camera. VLC will open up a new list of options, pick Strong from that list. This is to test the RTSP stream and make sure it is connecting. If there is anyone out there who can offer any suggestions, it would be much appreciated. With VLC open, select Media from the top menu. This problem has been reported a number of times (with a few different variations) under this topic but there have been no responses.
